AFGHANISTAN: Medical waste poses health risk in urban areas
Waste products from the health care system in Kabul and other cities is not being properly disposed of and creates a public health risk, according to experts. AFGHANISTAN: Hand washing can reduce child mortality - health experts
Tens of thousands of children across Afghanistan will wash their hands with soap on 15 October, the Global Hand Washing Day. The Ministry of Public Health says hand washing can reduce child mortality and morbidity by up to 50 percent.
